Library
The IICC Library is named after Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, Oman, It is a special library and aims to function as a Referral Centre for its members. Its mission is to facilitate its members’ access to comprehensive, accurate and reliable information, expeditiously. To accomplish its mission, the library is building up collection of resources and developing relevant communication technology for in house and on line information services. It has begun its function with a moderate collection, mostly donated to it by the members, it is hoped that the members shall continue to patronize it with donation of books and other forms of information sources in the thrust areas of the Centre. With the completion of the Center’s new building the library has proper space to organize its services. The thrust areas identified by the Centre include Islam and Islamic studies; India, its history; civilization and culture; Indian Muslims; their contributions to the history, culture and civilization of the country; Muslims contribution to the world civilization in general and in the field of science, philosophy, literature and art in its various forms; comparative religion; Sufism and such other subjects as fall within the scope of activities of the Centre.
