India Islamic Cultural Centre (IICC) has been growing as an icon of progress and prosperity of Muslims in India. It has been contributing substantially in educational progress of the community. Since 1984, when Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India allotted two bungalows for the purpose, IICC took strides for qualitative progress in the educational standard of the community. It provided free coaching and lodging to deserving students for appearing in Civil Services and other competitive examinations. Today IICC is proud of having dozens of its alumina holding high positions in important administrative offices throughout the country.

After completion of the present iconic building, which is having unique combination of Islamic and Indian architecture, IICC took this project with more vigor. Inaugurated of the Civil Services Coaching Centre was formally done at India Islamic Cultural Centre by Shri. Tejender Khanna, the honorable Lt. Governor of Delhi on May 27, 2007.

Seven students were provided coaching at different coaching centres in Delhi, out of which three students have joined services, One each in I.B. (Central Service), Audit & Accounts and Engineering services (State Services). Our students have also appeared in other State Civil Services Examinations of Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, U.P., Manipur, Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. Few of them have even cleared Main Examinations and are waiting the result.

It is a great success for IICC in its first year of endeavor to provide the aspirants a chance to achieve the goal set by them through single coaching programme. The coaching centre is thus helping the students to the destiny of success they have been awarded by the almighty. The stride will continue Insha-Allah.

In-house coaching has started at India Islamic Cultural Centre from February 2010. Teaching faculty has been arranged from the best coaching centres of Delhi. Apart from General Studies, five optional subjects such as History, Geography, Political Science, Public Administration and Sociology are in progress.

UPSC is revamping the system of selection of the candidates for Civil Services from 2011. It is under consideration to incorporate Civil Services aptitude test in place of optional paper at the Preliminary Stage. The General Studies paper will remain as such. The view is to bring more transparency & equality in selecting the candidates for main examination. It is also proposed that the marks of the compulsory papers i.e. General English and Language will be added in main examination for preparing merit of the candidates.

Considering the expected changes in the system of selection by the UPSC from 2011, this centre is planning to take the students for 2011 batch from June 2010 itself. India Islamic Cultural Centre will not leave a single stone unturned to achieve the targeted goal.

Entry for the coaching is purely on the basis of merit of the test conducted by this institute. These tests will be conducted in the months of June, December and March for Mains, Preliminary and Interview respectively. Coaching will be provided at India Islamic Cultural Centre by Professional Coaches in General Studies, History, Geography, Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology and Urdu (during mains only) for all the three stages of Preliminary, Mains and Personality / Interview. Students will be taken for current batches, of the examination conducted by U.P.S.C. Exact Dates for the various stages will be notified in the news papers and also on the web.
